How to register for CU-TEP ?
The CU-TEP registration is available online via Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center website at http://register.atc.chula.ac.th. The applicant is required to enter his/her personal information, upload photograph and national identity card in which the information will be stored in the database and used for testing arrangements as well as score reporting.
How much does it cost to take CU-TEP?
There are 4 types of CU-TEP test with different registration fee which are (i) CU-TEP (Paper-based) for 900 THB, (ii) CU-TEP (E-Testing) for 2500 THB, (iii) CU-TEP (Paper-based) & Speaking for 2900 THB, and (iv) E-Package CU-TEP (E-Testing) & Speaking for 400 THB.
Where are CU-TEP test venues ?
There are 2 types of CU-TEP test venues which are test center arranged by Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, and regional test venues including Montfort College in Chiang Mai, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna in Tak, Kamphaeng Phet Rajabhat University in Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok Pittayakan School in Phitsanulok, Nakorn Panom University in Nakorn Panom, Nakorn Si Thammarat Rajabhat University in Nakorn Si Thammarat, and Prince of Songkla University in Songkla.
Recommended preparation books for CU-TEP ?
There are variety of preparation books for CU-TEP. However, the widely used book is the one with pink cover published by the Chulalongkorn University Book Center. Students are also recommended to do exercises in separated book focusing on certain areas e.g. grammar or other parts in order to be more familiar with the CU-TEP exam.
CU-TEP test schedule ?
CU-TEP tests are arranged on a monthly basis where test schedule for the whole year of both Paper-based and E-Testing will be announced via Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center website. Please also be noted that CU-TEP can be arranged for more than 1 session in a month. For most cases, test sessions are held in the first and last Sunday of a particular month with registration being announced 1 month prior to the test date.
What is a passing score for CU-TEP ?
Scoring criteria for CU-TEP is quite different and dependent upon the degree. For undergraduate admission, 80 CU-TEP score is mostly used as a minimum requirement while 30 – 70 CU-TEP score is generally considered as a minimum score for graduate admission. Nevertheless, score requirements particularly for international programs are largely dependent on program suitability in which CU-TEP will be used as selection criteria and interview test.
How long are CU-TEP scores valid ?
CU-TEP test scores are valid for 2 years from the test date with no limit for the number of tests taken.
