What is IC SINGLE LICENSE ?

Investment Consultant Single License (IC Single License) is the certified program for investment consultant in bond, equity, and fund investment. The IC Single License is professional license for investment consultant or securities broker who is responsible for client association, investment consulting, and investment planning for investors. Investment consultant is restricted to offer consultations in the financial investment only with asset classes that they specialize on and are qualified by the Securities and Exchange Commission Thailand (SEC). Currently, exam structure of the IC Single License has been changed to the new structure, effective as of 1st January 2018 in which the IC Single License will be divided into 2 groups and 4 units classified by complexity in financial products. These include (i) Investment Consultant Plain program which is non-complex financial products including equity, mutual funds, and plain vanilla bond investments, and (ii) Investment Consultant Complex which is investment in risky and complex asset classes and is further classified into 3 types including IC Complex 2 covering investment consultant in complex mutual funds and bonds, IC Complex 3 covering investment consultant in derivatives, and IC Complex 4 covering investment consultant in all complex asset classes including complex mutual funds and bonds, and derivatives. Examination for the IC Single License is regarded as a crucial credential for those desire to start finance careers. IC SINGLE LICENSE test schedule ?

Examination of the IC Single License at test center in Bangkok is open daily from Monday to Sunday (except on public holidays) with most test sessions arranged twice a day including morning session at 09.30 – 12.00 and afternoon session at 13.30 – 16.00. However, some test dates may have more than 2 test sessions a day; hence, applicant must carefully check the information and test schedule at the ATI website http://www.ati-asco.org/ before enrolling for the test. How to register for IC SINGLE LICENSE ?

Applicant for the IC Single License examination must book for the test via online registration channel at least 5 days before the test date (including any holidays). For registration process, the applicant must enter identity card number as username and set the password that will be later used in registration. Once the test session has been reserved, the applicant has to pay for the registration fee within 3 days since the reservation date where payment can be made via bank counter, ATM, Internet Banking or Mobile Banking of Kasikorn Bank, and AIS mPay channel.

 

IC SINGLE LICENSE test center ?

There are 2 types of test centers for the IC Single License including test center at Bangkok arranged at ASCO Training Institute (ATI) Digital Testing Center, 2nd floor of Lake Ratchada Office Complex 2 with 36 seats available for each test session, and other 9 regional test centers which are Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Suratthani Rajabhat University in Suratthani, Khon Kaen University in Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani University in Ubon Ratchathani, Naresuan University in Phitsanulok, Prince of Songkla University in Songkla, Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus in Chon Buri, Nakhonratchasima Rajabhat University in Nakhonratchasima, and Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus in Phuket.
