หลักการใช้ EITHER

Either พูดถึง “คนใดคนหนึ่ง” หรือ “อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง” ในประโยคคำถาม/ปฏิเสธ ดังนี้  (จำรูปแบบตัวอย่างประโยคการใช้ Both ของแต่ละแบบให้คุ้นตา)

Either you or John has to finish the report before 5pm.  Either..or ใช้ในประโยคบอกเล่า แปลว่า คนใดคนหนึ่ง
You can have either the red shirt or the blue shirt. (= but not both)

We’ve been dating for 6 months and I haven’t met either of her parents.

เราเดทกันมา 6 เดือนแล้ว ฉันไม่เคยเจอผู้ปกครองเธอคนใดคนหนึ่งเลย

I haven’t read either of these books.  ฉันไม่ได้อ่านหนังสือเล่มใดเล่มหนึ่งเลย

I don’t think he is going to invite either of us.  สังเกต–เมื่อพูดถึงกรรมที่เป็นรูป pronoun ควรนำด้วย of

A: Which photo do you prefer?

B: I don’t like either of them
