IELTS listening section 2
There are many practice sources available for you. The most available one is, of course, movies. Choose one movie from your favorite list, the one you know the story well. Then, watch it with English subtitle. Watch it again without a subtitle. At this point I want you to focus with catching significant words, idioms, and expressions. Don’t worry if you can’t understand the meaning of every sentence.
As for Listening test section 2 of IELTS examination, you’ll encounter with a monologue. The speaker will be giving information of a certain topic. Your task is to answer questions regarding the facts in the monologue. It can be tricky but do not overthink. Remember to read all the questions carefully before the audio starts.
The topic may cover university courses, entertainment events, and stageplay schedule, for instance. If the topic is about university courses, you are expected to hear a monologue about which instructors teach which courses, at which time, at what room number. Then you’ll have to match the information. More samples of IELTS Listening test can be found in the link below.

Another source for practicing pronunciation, which is quite convenient for those who have a Smartphone, is Line Dictionary application. You can tap the speaker symbol to hear the pronunciation of a word then repeat after it. At the bottom of the result page, you can listen to the example sentences and repeat after.
Furthermore, there is ‘Daily English’ section. You’ll find a daily expression. Tap ‘More’ and you’ll get an example conversation using the expression. You can tap the speakers to hear the read-out of the whole conversation which you can repeat after. Awesome!!!
